Uh Oh - She found the other doggie. Fortunately her memory does not extend past bed time!
(I was going a bit crazy getting ready for travel on 7/23 and had to settle for this cell phone pic to PAD. This is better than the one I forgot to take on 7/22 at least!)

Growing Pains
Cassie went through 2-3 days of uncontrollable crying. That's not even a good description - she would have fits of PAIN - it was awful to watch. She did not want to be held, touched - none of the usual comforts seemed to work. We had to lay (lie?) her down and watch her have these fits until she fell asleep. It was more than anything we've seen from teething before, and there were no other symptoms, so we figured it was either extreme teething or actual growing pains.
By this Sunday afternoon we thought it had passed. I left a happy Cassie & Papa playing at home when I left to do some grocery shopping. I got a call from Jim that "it was happening again" and he felt awful because he did not know what to do for her. This is what I walked into when I got home -- looks to me like he figured it out just fine, and probably grew a little himself.

My favorite photo from today actually another one I took, however in the end I chose this one for PAD because it seems to be a better example of what I strive for on PAD.

Sometimes I wish Cassie had a "Pause" button so I could frame a certain shot "just so". 'Tis not the case, so I get what I get instead!

Cassie Who
This is a severely cropped iPhone photo - I've wanted to get one of this pigtail which always curls like this and it's a challenge because she's always moving her head!. She looks like a Who with this curl!

Gag Me With A Green SpoonSome kids have a Security Blanket; Cassie had a Security Spoon today.
When I put her in the car after daycare, she was unhappy about getting strapped in. This green spoon was there, so I handed it to her for a distraction. She grasped that spoon all the way home, through a diaper and clothing change (we politely navigated it through the sleeves so as not to piss the Petunia off), and through dinner preparation. When it came time to eat dinner, she held her green spoon while actually being fed from another. She was cooperative enough to remove her green spoon each time she took a bite.
The green spoon ultimately got tossed to the circling dogs, who have a new interest in this little person who sits in a high chair and throws things on the floor at mealtime.
