"This is Performance Art"
There's a performance art festival going on in my town right now! Performance art! For those of you who don't know, I am writing a book on performance art! So when things like this happen, I can't help but believe that I was meant to be in Aberdeen...

Today they had a round-table discussion to open the festival (pictured here), where we could all meet the artists. One of the artists who is in town is a Finnish man who did a performance back in 1992 with the Latvian artist that I am writing about. So, I got to meet him and ask him some questions, the answers to which will appear in my book, which I am in the process of finishing as I type this!

Even more amazing that the festival is happening, it was timed perfectly to coincide with my return to Aberdeen, so I didn't miss a thing!

  2. Sounds like it was a wonderful opportunity with perfect timing!!

So, I have to ask - I LOVE how the one chair stands out with color, as well as a few of the shirts - did you post edit into BW, then colorize a few areas?

  3. Thanks!
With regard to the editing, it is the weirdest thing...I always convert to B&W in the post-edit process. With iPhoto, sometimes when I reduce the saturation to 0, it leaves colour in a few areas. If I like the effect, I just keep it. So, I had no control over what remained in colour here! But yeah, usually the way that I achieve this effect is by erasing over the areas that I want to remain in colour, but right now I don't have any photo-editing software that can do that!
