... I lurk in her room with my camera.
(I dislike myself for the next comment but feel compelled to say it more than I dislike myself for saying it) This is a good example of a PAD shot where I took what I could to post -- the ISO should have been lowered, I should have used a tripod, I should have used a smaller aperture, etc - all that might have happened if this were not PAD and if I was not exhausted at the end of an exhausting day when I said frequently, "I am not happy with Humankind today". Yep, it was that kind of day. Taking photos while Cassie slept and not worrying about technique may have been my most peaceful time of day - so here you have this grainy, out of focus, dark photo.

I love the idea that you 'lurk' in Cassie's room while she sleeps, with your camera...combining two of your favourite things...yes, so peaceful (on any other day :)....and I am imaging Cassie being so proud to have a mom who is such a talented photographer and takes time to spend in her room doing her photography...and connecting her (Cassie) with the outside world at the same time (i.e. me and Paul, and our 'followers' :)
ReplyDeleteThat said, before I read your caption, I thought: what a warm and inviting picture...I didn't look at the details just the overall. I also thought what a nice room this would be to sleep in. I love twinkle lights, and love photographing them as well.
Sorry to hear you had such a bad day!!!! :(
