I made my grandma's recipe for pierogi for Easter. This is the second time I've made them on my own. The first time was in Poland - for a Polish girl who didn't know how to make them! This time I made them for Viking, who had never had them from scratch! Needless to say, they were a hit! :)
My favorite home-made pierogi story: Paul's mom made (still makes?) them. She makes many flavors, including both Prune and Blueberry. She serves them all on a big platter with no instruction as to what kind they are - so if you like Blueberry but hate Prunes, it's a crap-shoot.
