The best part about this PAD is the caption. How awesome that we both had a "best day ever" with our kids this week, and we were both in OR. (or were you in WA??? The line for me is still blurry!)
The story behind the caption is short and sweet: He and I stopped at Grace Su's China Gorge Restaurant for dinner (we were both just about starving and really wanted tacos but this came along first) where he actually ate Chinese food and behaved quite well considering he was so tired. After we got back in the truck it was clear he was tired almost to the point of passing out (as was I) but he wanted to stay awake a while more so I spun up Spongebob's "The Best Day Ever" before pulling out of the parking lot. A minute or so into the song he looked at me as we were getting onto I-84 back towards Portland and said to me, "Papa - today *was* the best day ever." He fell asleep on my arm before the song was over.
Oh my. If Cassie could talk, I'd imagine she might have said something similar about our day in Seaside. Since she cannot talk yet, I'll just feel that emotion vicariously through you if you don't mind.
