"Balmoral"
Today I took a drive out to Balmoral Castle, the Royal Family's summer residence in Scotland. I had been wanting to go here since I got my car, and what with royal fever following the wedding, I thought today might be a good day to go. Balmoral is a place of particular interest to me, because it was purchased by Queen Victoria. I have always been fascinated by her relationship with Prince Albert, and the fact that such a strong and powerful woman could find a man who loved her for those qualities always gave me hope...I knew that I wasn't waiting for my prince, but I was waiting for my Prince Albert...

  1. The only thing I dislike about this photo is that it reminds me that I have never seen such a beautiful sight. I love everything else about it! The structure of course is amazing, and I love how crisp it is. The composition makes the shot - the way the light shines on the flowers in the foreground, like a spotlight to bring attention to the flowers - yet, it does not detract from the beauty of the castle. (or whatever this gorgeous building is called). I just love this shot --- it motivates me to actually go and GET a passport.
