Lesson Learned!
My plan for PAD is to always carry my P&S with me, and only take my DSLR on special occasions/weekends when I have time. Tonight, I enjoyed this view from the parking lot when I left work. Oh, how I wished I had my DSLR! This is the best I could do with my P&S. I used some kind of "Night Landscape Preset".
I doubt I will carry my DSLR all the time, however this was a good lesson that as much as I love my new Nikon P&S, it's just not the same.
(I wanted to ask the dude with the silver SUV to move out of my shot, but he was no where to be found!)
Nowhere? ;)
ReplyDeleteI was thinking the same exact thing today - if I want to be happy with this project, I will need to dust off my DSLR and try to take it with me as much as possible!
ReplyDeleteThen I thought that I would deliberately _not_ use the DSLR, and try to create beautiful pictures with the P&S, which would certainly challenge me...I suppose right now I am just trying to figure out what my goal is/why I am want to get out of it...
By the way, I didn't even notice the SUV at first, and I really like this shot!
I prefer the SUV in there. Without it the placement of the light atop the pole so near to the center of the frame would bother me. The SUV provides a kind of offset (for lack of the right word).
ReplyDelete(Is there a way we could have non-PAD photos in here, say for photos we'd like to share just because they're relevant to commentary discussions or whatever? Would we want that? If so, how would we want to implement it?)
I'm all for posting non-PAD insight or photos, as they relate to our PAD project. As for how to implement - my eyeballs hurt too much to think about it right now.
