Today was one of those blissful snowy days where I had nothing to do but play with Cassie, watch movies based on Nicholas Sparks books that make me cry (damned dead parents do it every time), and do laundry.
FWIW, this was not a staged scene, I walked in and noticed the light illuminating the room. The tripod lives in the laundry room, so it seemed convenient enough.
I LOVE the light coming out of the machine! This reminds me somehow of Mr. Mom - I remember there was a running theme through that film that the washing machine was alive, and the little kid was afraid of it. This light makes it feel like the dryer is somehow living. I imagine that with a small child, it is, in some ways, the hearth of the house! Great capture!
