"Panto"
This wasn't just a trip to the theatre, it was Panto! Pantomime shows are a big Christmas tradition in the UK - always a fairy tale, usually with men playing the roles of women and lots of audience participation. They also like to localise the script, so this year included four of the cast members in Village People-esque costumes singing E-C-H-T to the tune of YMCA....Echt is a small village near Aberdeen, where I live. This is such a specific British thing that it's really difficult to translate. All I can say is that it was a totally fun and magical night!

  1. Oh, how I wish I was at the theater in Scotland rather than doing laundry and ultimately going to the walk-in today! Yet another example of my frequent wish to trade lives for a day, my friend :)
